Eat Art OFF workshop //eat-art performance

May 10 and 17, 2015

Organisers: Andrea Fajgerné Dudás, Eszter Ágnes Szabó

The “apartment restaurant” concept originally comes from Cuba, where after the Cuban Revolution, people began cooking for each other at home as restaurants were shut down. In Hungary, the first one was opened by Miklós Sulyok in 2007 on Bródy Sándor Street. He deliberately designed the space so that every aspect of cooking could be presented—almost like in a theater—making the process visible like a performance, or even more than that, an event.

We are organizing the first Eat Art Masterclass in this apartment restaurant, where, over the course of one day, theoretical lectures will be accompanied by performances and cooking sessions, from which the audience will also get to taste samples.

Venue: Miklós Sulyok’s apartment restaurant  (1088 Budapest, Bródy Sándor utca 13.)
