Klorofill Night * Independent Contemporary Art Scene in New York

Klorofill Night * Independent Contemporary Art Scene in New York * Screening and Talk

May 13, 2015

Organizer: Klorofill * Júlia Vécsei

During the evening Kelly Cannon, art historian, and Annie Fischer, writer and researcher, will talk about New York’s independent bookstores and art scene.

Júlia Vécsei, artist, will show the New York Spot zine, which she created last year during an artists’ residency in New York City. The project maps New York bookstores and the contemporary art scene. The publication concentrates on showing independent, artist-run spaces and non-profit organizations.

The first Spot was published in 2008 by Klorofill and focused on the Prague–Contemporary Czech Art Scene. Every publication has a subjective tone. At the event all previous Klorofill publications – zines and postcard sets – will be displayed.
