Finding its roots in the ancient architecture of the Middle East (earthen dome, earthen architecture), the building stands in the intersection of several themes defining our times; eco-architecture, the relationship between cultural traditions and the present, or migration and housing, to highlight a few. The adobe dome, a symbolic location for creating a home, is interwoven with the artist’s childhood memories and with possible solutions to present-day crises.
Exhibiting artist: Róza El-Hassan
