Fallin Stone Proves<\/h1>\n

Finnish artist Mikko Kuroiniki\u2019s art embraces a wide vareity of technique: be it film, video, installation or live performance. His main subject is made up from observing the world around us and humanity’s role in it. Often interpreting the correlation between the individual and reality; through it’s lingustic scopes and boundaries. Language has it’s own limitations when it comes to translating it to a visual level hence his trials entail the sensation of alienation and rootlessness. Kuorinki\u2019s installations incorporate seemingly insignificant everyday objects with an ever-changing focus point into an advanced new concept that reveals a completely different, new meaning. Trap\u00e9z Gallery presents a brand new piece from Mikko Kuoriniki’s endlessly expanding ‘Shrines’<\/em> series besides his two site-specific installation. Just a few years ago Mikko took notice of a simple buddhist shrine in a Nepalese restaurant. This experience led him to create his very own ‘portable’ shrine as an additional nonetheless permanent part for each exhibition regardless of location. These objects, pictures, texts shelved beyond eyesight withdrawn in thedistance playing with space are personally bound to Mikko as a great support to go on his endeavours and also to re-establish his personal presence through each exhibition.<\/p>\n
