As a case study, it aims to reveal the historical antecedents to which the current Hungarian state traces back its concept of the nation, and how it enforces this in society. The artist leads the viewer along three narrative threads from the irredentist movements of the mid-war period to the current state religion and its allusions to blood and motherland, which is also laden with pagan overtones. The work was produced with the help of the grant of <em>Edith-Russ-Haus f\u00fcr Medienkunst<\/em> and <em>Stiftung Niedersachsen<\/em> in 2016.<\/span><\/p>\n<p>Exhibiting artist: Szabolcs KissP\u00e1l<\/p>\n<p>Curators: The curatorial team of OFF-Biennale<\/p>\n<p>Venue: Institute of Political History (1052 Budapest, Alkotm\u00e1ny u. 2.)<\/p>\n<p>Supported by Goethe-Institut Budapest | The main cooperation partner of this year\u2019s OFF Biennale is GfZK \u2013 Museum of Contemporary Art Leipzig.
