OFF-Capitaly\/Gazd\u00e1lkodj OFF-osan!<\/em> is a life-size, mobile board game, designed after the popular board game used widely under socialism. In the context of the game we seek to explore the opportunities a young artist may have in today’s Hungary. The untilmate goal of the game is to achieve self-reliance.<\/p>\n

A popular pastime after World War II. was playing board games, where player had to reach the goal, while complying with the game’s rules. The Hungarian adaptation of Monopoly<\/em>, the board game becoming popular worldwide after 1939, is Capitaly<\/em>, which greatly differs from the original in that here players do not influence each other and success depends solely on luck.<\/p>\n

What opportunities does a young artist have in Hungary today? What obstacles does he\/she face and what kind of support can he\/she rely on, while trying to keep his\/her independence? The goal of the game is nothing but to create a sustainable artistic life path.<\/p>\n
