In the exhibition Recollection the focus is on the instability and uncertainty of memory and remembrance. The artists who are creating new installations, objects and prints for the exhibition, reflect on situations which are questioning whether we could trust our and others “true” memories and what happens when the different sources are confronting each other. The exhibition emphasizes the collision of parallel existing memories and the different motivation layers of remembrance. The artists also share in common that they examine the connection between history and memory from a personal point of view – the OFFicial history only appears through these narratives. The location, which is an intimate and private apartment space, could give the audience an opportunity to engage in a more informal way with the artworks.
